How do I know my order was successful?

Within a few moments of successfully placing an order with us, you’ll receive a confirmation email that will contain your order number and a tax invoice. Once your item(s) have been processed and packaged up, you’ll then receive another email to inform you that the shipping process has begun.

We’ll send you confirmation emails on every purchase you make on our site. So if you haven’t received a confirmation email within 5 minutes of placing your order, we suggest checking your email accounts ‘Spam’ folder, as they can occasionally be sent there. If you’re still unable to find your email, don’t worry, just contact our Customer Service Team, and we’ll help you out!

If the perfect James Butler Flask for you is currently out of stock, don’t worry! Contact our Customer Service Team as soon as you can, and we’ll let you know when we expect to receive more.

Picking your flask is just the start, now it’s time to enjoy it! So, savour your favourite moments with whatever you enjoy the most because James Butler Flasks go great with anything. Yes, you heard us, anything! (Within reason, of course…)

Personally, we recommend:
– Scotch
– Whisky
– Gin
– Port
– Schnapps
– Vodka

Here at James Butler, we recommend that you avoid storing alcohol in your flask for longer than three days. If you find yourself with leftover liquid after this period, we advise transferring it to a glass container to maintain its optimal taste.

Now, if you happen to exceed the three-day mark, fret not! Your drink hasn’t gone bad or been spoiled – our flasks wouldn’t let that happen to you. Just ensure the lid is securely fastened, and your beverage should remain perfectly enjoyable.

However, it’s worth noting that prolonged storage, beyond three days, may impart a slightly metallic or plastic taste to your drink, depending on the container used. And let’s be honest, we’re not fans of that! It’s just not our cup of tea… or should we say, flask of whiskey!

Tip: If your flask contains alcohol, always store it in a cool, dark place. This simple step will help maintain its flavor and quality for longer, ensuring every sip is as delightful as the first.

To ensure your drink maintains its freshness, stick to these straightforward principles:
1. Pre- and Post-Use Rinse: Prior to pouring your favorite beverage, and after every use (yes, even during your inaugural use!), give the inside of your flask a thorough rinse with clean water.
2. Hand wash Only: Avoid the dishwasher at all costs, and steer clear of chemical cleaners! Instead, opt for a gentle hand wash using hot water, followed by drying with a soft cloth.

James Butler Tips:
1. Skip the Soap: Resist the temptation to use soap, as it leaves behind residue that can taint the flavor of your libation – not ideal!
2. Lemon Rinse: If you’re switching up the liquor in your flask, consider rinsing it with a splash of lemon juice to refresh its palate.

Personalised Engraving

How to order:
  1. Select the hip flask you would like engraved from our range of eligible hip flasks HERE.
  2. Choose your font
  3. Choose your design 
  4. Choose your preferred delivery method & pay 
  5. Your flasks will then be sent off to our James Butler Engraver.
  6. When finished we will package your order in our James Butler boxes and ship it off to you.

Once ordered, your Hip Flask will be sent to our James Butler Engraver. There is a 7-10 business day processing time for 

There will be a 7-10 business day turn around time from the purchase date. We ship all of our engraving orders off to our local engraver on a Tuesday and we will have them back on friday to ship off to you.  ****** NEED TO FINISH*****

Unfortunately due to the personalised nature of the flasks we cannot accept refunds or exchanges on any personalised hip flasks. If the hip flask is somehow damaged, please contact our team to arrange a refund or redelivery of the flask. 

Exchanges & returns

I changed my mind! Can I exchange my hip flask for another?

Absolutely! If you’re not 100% happy with your new flask, let us know. At James Butler, we want to make sure you’re satisfied with not only the look but the feel of your flask. That’s why we’re giving you 30 days to decide if you want to keep your purchase. If you would like to swap your purchase for something else, contact our Customer Support Team and we will make it happen! 

Items must be in brand new condition, in its original packaging and unused. Once we’ve received your flask and it’s been checked by our team, we’ll send out your replacement flask within 1-2 business days.

Don’t worry! We receive new stock every single day, so the flask you’re looking for probably isn’t far away. Contact our Customer Support Team as soon as you can, and we’ll let you know when we’re expecting a new shipment, and get you set up.

If you’re not 100% happy with your purchase don’t worry, simply contact us and let us know. We offer a 30-day return policy. Items must be in brand new condition, in its original packaging and not be damaged in any way. Once we’ve checked the item over, we’ll issue you with a refund for the product price. Refunds will be processed to the same payment method used at the time of purchase. Please note, shipping fees are non-refundable.

Once we’ve received your flask and checked it out, refunds are processed within 24 hours. It may take up to 7 working days before you receive the funds back, however this depends on the payment type used (typically PayPal refunds are quick, while credit card refunds can take 5-6 business days to complete). There are no restocking fees.

How long does delivery take?

At James Butler Flasks, we aim to process and ship every order within 1-2 business days. All of our items are shipped using Australia Post, and typical delivery takes 2-10 business days, depending on your location. Once your order has been shipped, we’ll provide you with a tracking code, so that you can follow the order yourself and count down the days until you receive your flask!

Yes! We ship using Australia Post and as soon as your order is shipped from our warehouse, you’ll receive an ‘Order Update’ containing a tracking code. 

All of our shipping policies relate to deliveries within Australia. However, if you live in another country and one of our items has caught your eye, let us know! Contact our Customer Support Team and let them know where you’d like the item to be sent and we will do everything we can to get the hip flask into your hands.
